Killed in action, 4 December 1965 – bomb explosion in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). Also WIA in the same incident were Lance Corporal John Denham and Lance Corporal Gary Smart. Buried in Terendak Camp, Malaysia. Remains repatriated to New Zealand in 2018 and re-interred at Awa Tapu Cemetery, Paraparaumu.
