Killed in action, 14 September 1965 – Land Rover towing trailer with ammunition hit command detonated mine. Read citation for Cross of Gallantry with Palm. Buried in Terendak, Malaysia on 20 September 1965 then reinterred in Papakura South Cemetery, Auckland in August 2018.
