Serving with the medical teams in Vietnam - Ken Treanor
I served two tours in Vietnam. My first tour was with the 1st New Zealand Services Medical Team in Bong Song 1968-1969.
I have never had any regrets about Viet Nam. I have never been troubled as some who served there but there is never a day goes by that I am not reminded of my time in Viet Nam in some way, be it a name, a sound, a song or a day dream, an ache or pain.

The CSM once cleared the mess when we were in Nui Dat between operations. It was done because of the racket after lights out I suspect. With respect for our CSM I have used a bit of poetic licence here, though he did have a way of explaining time.
