Remember the movie We were soldiers starring Mel Gibson, and the scene where the soldiers are all moving to the embarkation point to leave for Viet Nam. The departure is happening in the wee small hours of the morning. Husbands are kissing their wives and children goodbye.
Yes folks - soon I would be old enough to legally drink in a New Zealand pub! In the mean time I just have to live long enough to achieve this milestone. We were slowly patrolling our way down to our firebase.
