Photographs make a great contribution to this site. They spark the memories of other people, and give us a glimpse into life in the past.
We are keen for contributors to include photographs with their memories, and aim to make it easy to do this. But please ensure that you have permission to use the photographs you are adding to the website.
Adding photographs
You can add the photograph to the website yourself, but you'll need a digital copy. You can get this by scanning the photograph or taking a digital photograph.
Photographs should be in these file formats: JPG, BMP, PNG, TIF and GIF and should be smaller than 5mb in size.
Or, we can load the photographs for you if you send them to us.
Do put some supporting information with the photographs so that people without specific knowledge can use and enjoy the image: when it was taken (if you cannot remember, then something like 'early 1970s' will do), what it shows, who any people may be, where it was taken, who took the image.
