I was a US artillery fire direction specialist, based in Nui Dat from March 1968 to March 1969. We were mostly afield, including twice at the Horseshoe, and more importantly at Coral day 2 through that operation. I am in contact with Aussies from the 102 battery, and will attend their ANZAC day reunion next year in Sydney. My wife and I will spend five weeks in New Zealand, approximately mid February to late in March next year. Am I missing some opportunity to reconnect with Kiwi vets who shared the Coral experience?
