Served as engine fitter with 41 Squadron, Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF), 1966–1968. Flew into Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh) 8–11 February 1966, and to Vung Tau and Qui Nhon in 1967–1968 for aircraft maintenance.
