Unit Citation for Gallantry (Australia)
Served as Signaller in original Battery at Bien Hoa as Bombadier Signaller, then with 161 Battery as Signals Sergeant in 1968. Enlisted in January 1955 in Shuttleworth Class of RF Cadets and graduated into RNZA in December 1956. Retired as WO1 with 16 Field Regiment. Died in Pukekohe with funeral service held at the Papakura RSA – his favourite place for many years.
