Enlisted 27 January 1958, discharged 17 May 1978. Enlisted as RF Cadet, completed apprenticeship as mechanic and a vehicle mechanic. Promoted to Sergeant and posted to Vietnam with 161 Battery Light Aid Detachment 18 March 1971. RTNZ 18 May 1971. Retired with the rank of WO2. Died in Levin. His brother, Noel Peter Christie Le Noel, also served in Vietnam.
