Cpl Max Garmonsway takes refreshment among rubber trees at FSB Discovery, October 1969. Roughly one third of this 1RNZIR touring Band was associated with Wanganui or its district in some way including Max and his brother Terry (both from Raetihi), Tony Cowan, Chris Schnack, Kevin Jarrett and Robin Ensoll.
