Typical Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) worn by New Zealand soldiers in the field during the Vietnam War. The BDU above consists of:

  • Australian 'Pixie' uniform shirt and trousers
  • Mixture of US M56 and British 1944 Pattern webbing
  • Dunlop GP boots
  • US-made ARVN pack
  • 200 round 7.62mm ammunition link for M60 machine gun
  • Replica SLR with field dressing taped to butt
