Enlisted in RNZAF on 21 June 1945. Posted to 14 Squadron but flew into Vietnam on 31 May 1963 as auxiliary air crew with 41 Squadron.
Returned to Singapore as Officer Commanding Support Squadron on 2 July 1973. Returned to New Zealand on 24 August 1975. Discharged as Squadron Leader on 14 February 1981.
