Enlisted 11 October 1959. Arrived in Vietnam 21 July 1965. Wounded in action, 11 October 1965 – booby trap. Both legs broken, fragment wound to right hand. Medevaced on 15 October 1965 back to New Zealand for recovery. Retired in rank of Captain on 1 August 1986. Read citation for MID.
