Served with 1RNZIR from November 1966 to March 1969 in Malaya and Vietnam with W1 Company. In Vietnam was attached to 1ALSG before returning to W1 on the 30/31 March 1968. Served remainder of tour with 3 Platoon under Sergeant Fraser before being medevaced home with malaria after the main body of the company had returned to New Zealand.
