Len was a singer in a vocal trio The Sheratons that toured in Vietnam from December 1967 to 28 Feb 1968. They were provided with a Filipino backing band and toured widely during the Christmas and New Year party mode – mainly at US bases and in Saigon. Len is deceased and so his son (Leonard) flew from Sydney to receive his fathers medals at the Whangamata RSA on 13 August 2016.
