Notes
Served in Vietnam with V6 Company along with brothers, Pte CH Rata and Pte KB Rata. Completed 22 years in New Zealand Army and was commissioned Lieutenant in 1990. Left the army and settled in Nelson. In 2002 started working in Waiouru as a civilian driver with TSL (New Zealand Army contractor). In 2005 re-enlisted as 2IC in TF Company, taking over as OC in mid-February 2009.
