Paul was known as "Mini-Truck" as he had an older brother Brian who had the nickname "Truck". Brian was ex-infantry who transferred to 16 Field Regiment on his return to NZ. Both were from Hawera, Brian having passed away many years ago. Jacko was ex-Territorial Force Sgt with 4 Medium Bty when he marched in to Papakura about 1966-67. On his return to NZ he was posted to 21 Bty, Ft Dorset where he met the love of his life Betty, who was of Tokelau descent and living in Martinborough. Betty sadly passed away in the 1970s or early 1980s, Jacko follwing some years later. Reg Tuahine was from Frasertown on the East Coast. He too passed away in the 1980s.
