Notes

Ms Dinah Lee (Born Diane Maree Jacobs in Waimate), travelled to Vietnam twice. First with the ABC for two weeks in June 1966 (including concerts at Luscombe Field in Nui Dat), and again on 18 March 1969 with the ABC Symphony Orchestra, she then stayed on privately (and unpaid) in Vung Tau. Dinah Lee appears to be the only New Zealand born solo artist to tour in Vietnam (the remainder were all Australian or US). Dinah has been a long time supporter on Vietnam veterans and frequently attends reunions and special events associated with Vietnam. She has also been presented with the Vietam logistic Service medal by the Australian Government for her service in Vietnam. She received her medals at Government House Auckland on 29 July 2016 from HE Lt Gen Sir Jerry Mateparae. She was supported by her brother Maj (Rtd) Peter (Speedy) Jacobs, RNZIR and RNZAMC.
