The PG-21A Pocket Guide to Vietnam was one of a series of guidebooks produced by the United States Department of Defense for American servicemen stationed overseas during the Vietnam War period. Designed to educate military personnel about the nature of the Cold War and the importance of appropriate conduct while stationed abroad, these ‘pocket guides' also encouraged servicemen to take advantage of the opportunity to experience food, drink, customs, and the culture of the various countries they visited or were assigned to.
